“Broken Record,” the Soul Selects debut from Rachel Goodrich will be celebrated in all its guitar pop glory at Sweat Records in Miami, FL Wednesday, October 11, 2023., at 6:00 pm. “Broken Record” is available now on Bandcamp (and it goes without saying but we’ll mention it anyway, the record will also be available at the show).

“Broken Record” is available as a limited-run, vinyl-only release so get your copy while the getting is good. And buy one for a friend, they’ll thank you (it’s that GREAT).

An Evening of Poetry & Song with Paul Muldoon, Chris Harford and Ray Kubian

On Friday, November 11, 2022, Paul Muldoon will read poems, lyrics and perform spoken word. Chris and Ray will perform songs written with Paul for Rogue Oliphant, including those from the band’s newest release, the triple-album “Highlights of the Low Life.” The release is available on Soul Selects Bandcamp page for digital download and streaming. Super Deluxe and Deluxe box set version, along with a triple-gatefold three album set will also be released in December. Watch the Bandcamp page for details (hint: the Super Deluxe, extremely limited edition features four letterpress prints of lyrics from the album written by Paul Muldoon, as well as other swag).

An omnium-gatherum of poetry, prose and music, Muldoon’s Picnic is a cabaret-style evening hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Paul Muldoon and his house band Rogue Oliphant. The tour is produced by Poetry Ireland and supported by an Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon and Arts Council of Northern Ireland Touring Grant.

Band of Changes Live at TileWorks, Saturday, July 16, 2022

This event is the rescheduled Thanksgiving Party and my rescheduled Peter’s Birthday Party rolled into July! Two great bands from 4-10 pm on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works in Doylestown, PA. Please join us in the field and courtyard of the beautiful TileWorks building. Band of Changes will feature Dave Dreiwitz, Scott Metzger, Joe Russo and Chris Harford. Chris Archibald will open the night with original music.  This will be a BYO Picnic so please bring your favorite beverages and food in with you. Remember to bring a chair or a blanket so you can be comfortable.

Band of Changes at the Brooklyn Bowl Philly and NYC

Two big Band of Changes shows are coming up at Brooklyn Bowl in Philadelphia. The Band of Changes, featuring Joe Russo, Dave Dreiwitz, Scott Metzger and Chris Harford, will play Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Brooklyn Bowl in Philly and then the same lineup will hit Brooklyn Bowl in NYC on Saturday, March 26th. The Bogie Band featuring Joe Russo will also play both nights, with Thursday seeing the album release of “The Prophets in the City.”

Rogue Oliphant’s new release, “Highlights of the Low Life” will be out soon on Soul Selects, in digital, downloadable, CD and come Fall, deluxe and regular vinyl editions. The band celebrates its release at Joe’s on March 10th.

Rogue Oliphant is a rock band with a revolving line-up that specializes in lyrics and spoken word pieces by the Pulitzer Prize-winning Irish poet and Sharon Springs resident, Paul Muldoon . The musicians joining Paul Muldoon on this occasion are Chris Harford (Three Colors; Band of Changes) , Ray Kubian (Electric Six) , David Mansfield (Rolling Thunder Review) , Cat Popper (Ryan Adams, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals) , and Warren Zanes (The Del Fuegos). This is a free show but seating is limited.

 

Band of Changes Announce Upcoming August Shows

Chris Harford and the Band of Changes have three dates scheduled for August 2021. Tickets are on sale now for the first show, at Brooklyn’s Industry City on Friday, August 6th. The Band of Changes will perform two sets of music accompanied by a light show (!) by Macrodose (and drinks and BBQ!).
