Three Colors

Three Colors formed in 1981 at Connecticut College in New London as a “post-punk trio” comprised of guitarist, singer andsongwriter Chris Harford; bassist, singer and songwriter Hub Moore; and drummer Barry Stringfellow. Hub’s brother Max soon joined on keyboards, and after the group moved up to Boston, Dana Colley joined on saxophone and occasional vocals.

The debut EP by Boston’s Three Colors harkens back to 1985, before Morphine, storied solo careers, and the rebirth of Soul Selects. This EP is an original pressing, extremely limited (when they’re gone they’re gone) and features six tracks from Barry Stringfellow, Hub Moore, Chris Harford, Max Moore, and Dana Colley. Produced by Paul Koldier and Sean Slade, this EP is a slice of Boston music history unto itself.
